Hi guys,

Cars due a service in a couple of weeks and I think the brakes need a new set on the fronts and poss new rear disks.

So, I can't afford the full 312mm upgrade as can't afford to do the alloys as well so am looking at keeping the standard size brakes but was wondering whether its worthwhile running upgrades on that size?

Most posts on the forums are for upgrades to larger disks and pads not uprated standards.

Do I go for OE or better pads and standard disks or better all round?

I now do a 60mile round trip a day to work which has got about 8 round abouts on the way which do give the brakes a bit of work to do.

Thoughts and opinions please.

Thanks

I find mine to be very satisfactory, sensitive, controllable (I can modulate the stopping power easily with varying foot pressure) and powerful - I can induce the ABS to cut in but only by extreme pedal pressure in the dry, which is how I think it should be. For road usage I don't think they need upgrading.
