TCS & Engine Management lights on (faults)... HELP!

hi,

ive got a 2005 mk1 leon 1.8 20vt (180bhp) 69k on clock.

Yesterday i was driving along with no problems and then all of a sudden after turning
a corner at about 20mph to car died and came alive again straight away,
after doing so the engine management light and tcs light both came on....

Now i have no TCS but otherwise car is fine and drives ok.

I work for hyundai so got on diag machine and came up with MAF = mass air flow meter
and no other faults, we re-set but came straight back on and the tcs light wouldnt re-set.

i have been told my numerous people and also seat garages to...
1- try changing MAF
2- try changing abs sensors
3- try changing abs ring
4- try changing brake light switch
5- try changing abs control unit

i am sorry but to change these the parts arent cheap and would be a great cost to do so.
have had problems before with eng man system and faults but not this.

As any1 had any similar experiences like this or had same fault and or knows how
to repair them???????

Like i said thou car running fine and no other problems or fault codes, (used snap-on solus)

Or maybe cheaky can any1 sort it for me and id be more than willing to come to you

all right m8 , yesterday i have the same problem as you but my traction control still works , aint got a clue wots wrong wid it bin told 2 change the maf sensor so think gonna order a new 1 and try that ,

you best bet is to source someone with vag com, so the codes can be read , some code readers will tel you , you then post the codes up here ,
usually people are helpfull and give you an answer to your problem, without going through your list

i've got the same problem with mine today, same symptons that you describe, i'm looking for someone to read my ECU with VAG COM if anyone is around northampton or milton keynes area..... willing to pay in beers
