Tailgate springy rubber stopper thing broken

Hi all

Bought a mark 2 Leon on 11 November and something's broken off already

I was giving it a wash today and opened the tailgate to leather off the drips and the passenger side springy rubber stopper thing (I don't know the correct name for it) fell to bits and landed in the boot.

I have previously noticed that the spring on the stopper was more stiff than the drivers side when closing the tailgate. It also never shuts the first time and sort of rebounds and then I have to try again always keeping both hands on the tailgate just above the rear lights with a "follow through" motion.

I will be ringing the dealer tomorrow to get it fixed.

Has anyone else had this problem with a hard to shut tailgate on their Mark 2 Leon's or the rubber stopper thing falling to bits?

slim chance of finding a new leon in the brakers yet mate...
