Hiya everyone. Sorry to bring this one up again. I have read all the posts re leaks in the car. We have taken the car to a garage 3/4 times, they cleared out the scuttles, put sealant round by fusebox? and where cabling goes. Yet each time it rains more puddles. Sometimes the driver's footwell is very damp with a huge puddle ending up in the back footwell behind the driver. Other times it is the back passenger side footwell that is soaked. We have even sat in the car while a hose is put onto the car to try and find out where the leaks are coming from. But no leaks from the doors that we could see. After the recent bout of rain the driver's side is again soaked. We are booking it in next week but hold out little hope that they can solve the problem. Has anyone got any ideas that haven't already been covered???? Please help. :help: We are getting very fed up and broke!

I used some super white kitchen sealent on mine :)

but I dint leave the passenger door long enough before it rained and I think some got washed away cos it still gets a dribble :(

but drivers door worked a treat :) just ripped the crapy seal stuff off and cleaned it then smacked a load of seal stuff in it :) also fixed my speaker while I was there

are VIBE speakers standard? cos all the wires looked messed with... :(

Hi all, it did rain very hard today at some point in the day whilst at work. Got in my car to do a viewing (house) and when i opened my door water splashed out from the bottom of the door from the body but no water inside at all. This was the same for passenger door made the applicants feet wet i laughed but to the point is this normal??

The inside was bone dry tho.? Have i got a similar problem? Do i need to open up the panel for a peep?:help:

I reckon I'd say that was fine - your doors are designed to leak rainwater naturally via the drainage holes along the underside of the door, thats probably the reason for the 'splash'

Look for a tell-tale bead of water between the 2 sections of trim that meet on the door sill below where the speaker is positioned, thats when I knew I had the leaky door seal issue :)

I'm getting a similar thing when opening the drivers door there is normally some water sitting on the sill on top of the black plastic trim, does this mean the drain holes in the door are blocked ???

Haven't had a chance to check them out yet, will try tomorrow, if it's still dry !!!!

I'm not convinced this is always caused by blocked drainholes, personally I think it happens because water runs down both sides of the door, unfortunately the seal rots on the inside, thus the water seeps in, as well as out of the drainholes simultaneously.

Anyways it almost certainly sounds like your door seal has gone. Easy job - 1 hour tops ;)
