Swapping bulbs to LED's?

Hi,
Due to pick up my Bocanegra soon and am still dissapointed that the daytime running lights are bulbs, not LED's
Has anyone swapped these or any other of the standard bulbs for LED versions? If so do you get the bulb failure message on the dash due to the low cuurent of LED's and do you have to fit ballast resistors to compensate?

Not sure TBH but I know someone on another forum fitted LED's as soon as he got the car. Said it was a pain but didn't go into anymore detail.

I'll be doing the same but since your getting it first i'll let you do all the hard work

Did have a look at this myself but looks like the drl bulb is very similar to a indicater bulb 21w in size haven't taken it out though so not sure it will fit. The side light bulbs look like they could be 501 s anyway, to be honest I think the drl bulbs look good anyway when they are on as come on directly when you start up then switch over when you put your lights on the xenons do look fantastic though well worth having

Standard bulbs so no resistors required. Wanted something in my Scirocco and these are a much closer match to the Xenons compared to standard bulbs fitted.

BTW the bloke that changed his now has the bulb warning light.

He also stripped out his interior and added a custom exhaust within the first week of owning the brand new cupra. He's got balls

I want to install w5w led bulbs. Can they work as day-time lights ? (vag-com ?)
