Hi all,
Happy new year to you all...
Im having a problem since having my suspension strut re-attached due to a stripped bolt. The strut is now firmly attached with all 3 bolts again (yay) but something is screeching loudly when i turn the steering wheel:
Does anyone have any idea what it could be or how to fix it easily? Could it be some kind of gasket on the top mount missing/dislodged? Could something as simple as oil fix it? Please help - it doing my nut!
Thanks! Ed

Im having a problem since having my suspension strut re-attached due to a stripped bolt. The strut is now firmly attached with all 3 bolts again (yay) but something is screeching loudly when i turn the steering wheel:
- Its metal on metal and very high pitched (like a nail on a blackboard - eeek!) - sounds like its coming from the actual steering wheel but its coming from the o/s suspension strut and is loud outside the car.
- It only happens if the car is moving
- It usually happens when the wheel is in the neutral position and being moved to the right - i.e. when you turn a corner left and are lining up again, or when your entering a junction on your right.
- You can also hear the occasional squeak when going over a rough surface (when the wheels are slightly moved from neutral i assume)
Does anyone have any idea what it could be or how to fix it easily? Could it be some kind of gasket on the top mount missing/dislodged? Could something as simple as oil fix it? Please help - it doing my nut!
