hey guys. have had my cupra a while and not likely the understeer too much, plus want to get my car a bit more track orientated for the new year

i have a basic list of bits i wanna get, but would like to know what other people are running or what they'd reccomend

bits i want are:
Seat Sport upper front strut brace (can you get a lower, of would it be the front ARB?)
rear ARB
rear spacers - probably 15mm
coilovers - perfomance orientated not for looks

plus any other suggestions people may have

cheers

personally I would fit a matched pair of arbs - front and rear - from somewhere like H+R, eibach, neuspeed

coilovers - unless you want to lower the car I would not buy coilovers for a road car - bilstein and koni do excellent damper sets at a fraction of the price of coilovers which for most people are a total waste of money

poly front bushes

decent tyres

strut braces.....take it or leave it unless you are running sticky tyres IMO

rob, was thinking of doing the eibach ARBs for definite as have heard hey make a huge difference.

am running toyos at the minute so theyre decent tyres. have heard that the strut braces do a good job thouhg? or is that just a myth?

poly bushes i hadnt though of either lol

and as for suspension, are the non-height adjustables you're talking about damping adjustable?

eibach / H+R / neuspeed, their all the same, weitec do them now I think also, 22/25mm or 25/28mm depending on how bumpy the roads are you drive on normally

they do make a huge difference

I think strut braces are a waste of money personally unless you are running tyres like R888s or do a lot of trackday work - chassis are very stiff these days - I dont think you will ever corner hard enough on a public road to notice a difference

front wishbone poly bushes make a big difference controlling wheel toe a lot better which will sharpen up stability

koni's are, the cheaper bilsteins are not I think but they will be pretty good - I am going to buy some of the bilstein yellow coloured sport dampers for my Bora, they do ones that dont lower the car which suits me for where I live (very bumpy)

ah right ok. would probably go for the thicker ARBs to be honest as most of my travelling is motorways or a roads so not too bumpy. gonna have to lok into all these bits and get shopping i reckon.

think the cupra could do with a drop of 30mm or so as the rear sits a tiny bit high

If your wanting to change the ride height and damping id look at coilovers from the likes of KW, eibach or bilstein. From what i can gather these are the better ones if its purely for handling.
Im no expert on suspension though, so deffinately dont take that as gospel.

What is the best "Comfort" suspension

Hello there...
Sorry to post my question here, But I am on the same situation...
I want mostly to improving the comfort of my Cupra, and if it's possible to improve the handling of the car...
I've driven a cupra with a Bilstein dampers and Eibach Shocks... and that felt good.. the car was much more forgiving on the bad road (since we have lot's and lot's of sucky roads) and on the corners the car felt planted... so that's good...
My most concern is for the ride-quality since my wife (now newly pregnent) is driving it on a daily basis.

Can anyone recommend on a good suspension set for maximum comfort? I've even thinked about downgrading my wheels to the 16" of the FR version for better comfort...

As well, anyone knows of a good place to order the suspension from? Our dealers here in the country charge alot for high-profit, I'd rather place my order on the net and import it to my country on my own...

Thanks in advance...

Rami

p.s
Would anyone also recommend me to install a rear Whiteline ARB to make the car fell less "understeering" and more "neutral-steering" or "over-steering"?
any other recommendation?
