suspension kit options

what are the options re. suspension kits on the mk4 1.9 fr?

want springs and shocks fixed suspension preferably 40mm as I had 30mm on my corsa and wasnt low enough.

Do a quick search you might find more, koni kits are quite good or eibach springs new dampers. Both drop aound 30mm

i cant see the benefit of coilovers really.

on the corsa at least, 40mm is the optimum any more than that and it will be detrimental to handling, however nice it looks.

well when i first put put coilovers on it was lowered about 40mm at the rear and about 35mm at the front and it handled better but now its slammed 80mm+ at the rear and 60mm+ at the front it handled so much betterspecially with the spacers the strut brace and the vrs anti roll bar!

i have had ,spax springs on std dampers ,spax springs on adjustable koni shocks, eibach springs on koni shocks and FK coilovers

the latest set up has been the best so far ,its hard to explain ,but the ride is firmer but less crashy,more steering feel etc

do it right ,do it once
