Been looking at the Superchips website, claim to increase the bhp up to 201 bhp. Think they are a reputable company as their upgrades come with a warranty.
Any one out there had any dealings with them before.

Their 1st FR test car was a customers on here.... it caught on fire because they didn't understand how it was meant to work.

I would suggest looking at a more 'vag' specific tuner

Thanks, though they do say on their web site that they are the official partner for VW racing?!?!
Would you be able to recommend anyone else?
My main worry is invalidating the Seat warranty on the car, as doing 60 miles to work an back every day.

Doesn't matter who maps your car, it will void your warranty.
I should add that my car was mapped with 4k on the clock and is now on 25,000+ and i drive 100 miles round trip to work each day.
Never had a single problem :)

Thanks again.

Traded in a Focus ST for me Leon FR.

Wanted to buy the Sportiest looking TD car I could get me hands on.

So plumped for the Leon FR and have never looked back.

One and only thing I miss is some of the power, dropped down from 225 to 170bhp.

So would appreciate all and any help or advice I can get.

Big franchises such as Superchips are only as good as the specific garage / tuner that works on your car.

Much the same as Powerflow, or indeed MaccyDs! ;o)

trust me, m0rksport enterprises could be the official partner for VW racing if a) it was a legitimate business b) paid enough money

It proves nothing at all

yeah i havent read much good about superchips remaps. instead check out REVO they have good feedback on here and there are other site sponsers as mentioned abobe like custom code or p-torque, with many happy customers.

remaps for the 170 are only just appearing as the problem with the DPF has to be overcome.

I had my last car, a W8 passat remapped by superchips. Dissapointed is an understatement. it pulled about 20hp hess than factory claims. But that could have been the rollers as it didnt feel any slower, problem was it didnt feel any faster either.

We can tune the new 170PD unit,

With our Phase 1 remap power will be increased to 200-210bhp and torque to 280-290lb/ft with a very smooth torque and power curve :) for only £528.75 which I will get a free Green Cotton panel filter thrown in which is worth £45!

We have an agent in Chesterfield, JBS Auto Designs which is not all that far from you if you want to give them a call on 01246 455005

Question for the guys at Custom-Code.

Following on the advice kindly given above by the SCN members, I have been looking at and talking to Performance-Torque.

They offer a re-map with similar increases in performance, but for only £350 all in, with a rolling road test before and after.

Why is your re-map so much more expensive, other than the Green Cotton panel filter is there something more included that I don't know about?

Would like to know, as you're right, Chesterfield is right on my doorstep.

Had a re-map with superchips and have to say I was really disappointed. Gained about 4bhp and not much torque. My actual torque curve was worse but it drive slightly better. If I had the chance again I would go with p-torque as they have a great reputation on this site!

Hi

There is a lot of research and development that goes in to our remaps to ensure that our Phase 1-3 maps are the smoothest, best power delivery and power holding maps available. We have tuned some of the fastest petrol and diesel cars in the UK of which the great knowledge gets passed down even to our Phase 1 remaps.

With all Custom-Code remaps we offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not happy with the remap and we cannot get it to a state of tune you are happy with. But I can honestly say this never happens :)

I can offer you a before and after RR run included in that price too :)

Kind Regards

Would like to say big thank you to Mike at Custom-Code, for listening to me pratling on, on the phone today.

Will be going over to see him soon to try and put me mind further to rest.

He answered me questions honestly, regarding warranty etc.

That in it self is worth it's weight in gold.

Thankyou.
