Years ago on my MK4 lbiza I had a sun glasses holder that was where the grab handle would be on the driver's side.

Has anyone got any links or part numbers for one for the Leon?

Many thanks guys and keep safe!

I have a handle on mine so you just remove that and push the new one in, if you have no handle the holes will be there under the roof lining. So if you REALLY want one get your Stanley knife out and cut your roof lining!

I don't know if FL Leon Cupra has it standard , as I must confess not to have looked at what the set up is on the 2019 FL Leon Cupra my older daughter has, but surely SEAT has managed to integrate a sunglasses storage area into the overhead area in amongst the light switches and movement sensors, Skoda managed to do that even on Fabia, but VW only did that on the Golf and the Golf overhead thing is too wide for VW Polo 6C which was what I was trying to fit it into - so I just ended up getting the older Golf etc grab handle type version, unfortunately the one with screws, so I needed to remove the spring clips from the body side holes and fit it using ball bungs - a type of cavity wall fixing from the 1970's!

Then I got round to working out how to fit one to my 2011 Audi S4 - virtually minutes for posting a "call for help" on the Audi Sport forum, I discovered that that car came from the factory with one integrated into the overhead thing.

So, if preFL Leons did not come with them, has no one tried swopped the overhead thing for one from an equivalent Golf that has this storage in it, or same for FL Leon if in deed SEAT never got round to providing that storage?

If fitting the "grab handle" correct age/fitting version to a car that did not have a grab handle from factory, you would also need to buy 2 spring clips - I think, as they will not come as part of the sunglasses storage unit, small extra cost but annoying if you are "ready to go" as soon as the storage unit lands on your door step.

I took this with me from my 6R. You can actually fit glasses in whereas the grab one is for wire frames only.

I've managed okay so far keeping my Oakley Frogskins in these ones that replace the grab handle - having to use the insert in the glovebox in my wife's 6C Polo is no good at all seeing as the glovebox seems to be on the passenger side of the car, a bit like the coin storage slots on my wife's previous 9N Polo, totally stupid design/location what were VW thinking about. If Skoda can normally get it right and Audi normally get it right, what is so wrong with SEAT and VW interior designers, first get it right, then make it look okay as well, rant over!

Edit:- one criticism I have of the sunglasses storage area in my 2011 Audi S4 - well at least when storing my Oakley Frogskins in it, is, they rattle unless I stuff them in their proper sleeve - it only took me a year to work out why there was a strange rattle when there was no sun!!

At least I discovered that sunglasses storage bin, I must admit that I did spend a lot of time trying to find if I could buy one, and just avoided making the classic error of asking the question in the Audi forum!!

I like to think that I behave and so consider myself someone that drives an Audi and not an "Audi driver" as they do take risks and put others into risky situations, even someone that owns and drives an Audi notices that especially when they are driving around in their wife's VW Polo!
