Suggestion diagnostic software

Im looking for a diagnostic software that would read a Toyota Avensis (OBD2).
Ross tech dont support it but would nice if any could sugggestion something else.

VCDS (VAG-COM) might work with that car since it uses iso-9141 for communications. Try connecting a current dongle interface and click the generic obd II button. Vcds will let you know if it is compatible or not. It won't hurt to try.

That feature has been included with every Vag-com release since 504.

Just to ask, the 5** series, do they support 3rd party interface cable or only ross tech cable, eg hex type.

Every release after 409 requires a dongle interface. Any party other than a Ross-Tech distributor listed on our distributor page telling you that they have interfaces that are compatible with a later version are thieves and crooks. They have hacked our product and released it for sale in the world.

We would hope that you would not want to support parties that would sell such devices. After all, they would have nothing to sell if we didn't spend our sweat and time to create the product in the first place.

im aware that 60*, the 704 only work on ross tech can cable. at the moment i have the normal 409 with my purhcased key. Just that the 409 dosnt have extra window to read errors from other cars. The 504 and the 512 ared discontinued for some reason. If my 2other cars work with vcd (BMW, advensis). I do not use cracked version or any other tweaked version from 3party of fleabay!
I may be consider upgrading to the new can interface on vag 704* as i be needing this future soon.
