Successful re-map

Well i managed to keep my LCR standard for 3 1/2 years and i week after joining this forum i've already had a re-map done.

Will Spooner of performance torque has done a fantastic job the car is far smoother to drive and needless to say an awful lot faster.
My main motivation was that our family car a SAAB 95 aero estate was in truth a faster car albeit not through the corners. It just didn't seem right that a lardy estate car should out-perform a hot hatch.
The LCR will now absolutely annihilate the SAAB (it's not even close).

Does anyone know where and when i can get a relaible 0-60 timed run or 1/4 mile test done?

0-60 and 1/4 mile runs are very difficult to do in a FWD car with 270bhp/300lbft.

You'll not notice much in the way of a 0-60 improvement due too increased wheel spin. 6 secs at best!

1/4 mile, low 14's, high 13's depending on driver. Although you will need stage 2 to do high 13's!

Nice one! :D

I personally wouldn't worry about 0-60 times and the like. That really isn't a FWD cars strength, it's on the move that it counts with 30-70 times and in gear performance :)

I agree that 0-60 is not a strong point of FWD cars with high power but 6 secs would be fine given that i probhably lose the best part of a second getting it into it's stride
It's certainly faster than off the mark than a Focus ST i tested last week and that was about 6.4 i think.
I also agree that it is in gear performance that is the cars strength the trouble is i can find no stats to back up my questions. It's only really idle curiosity that is prompting me to find out plus it provides a benchmark for a new car when i eventually replace this one.
The only 3/4 door car i have driven that feels as though it compares mid range is an imprezza STI which i guess makes sence given the similar power and torque figures.

So maybee i can re-phrase my question, does anyone have any figures for mid range performance on a remapped LCR?

Pleased you are happy.

As the members have mentioned, the cars power to weight ratio is now superb, putting the power to the ground off the mark is the problem when driving harder.

If you want to test the new figures, get yourself to a race strip day. These will time your response off the mark, and then regular intervals of distance after that. :)
