Ok so over the last few months and years I have been contiunally changing my car not being to decide what I really wanted. My cars;

1. Started off with Nissan Micra 1996 N Plate when I passed in 04!
2. Then got a Audi S80 (bomb on insurance)
3. Then got an FTO
3.1 Then Fiat Coupe 20V in Blue (fast)!
4. Then got a Mazda 323F and kept it for a year or two
5. Then another Micra
6. Then Yaris
7. Then a Daewoo Matiz
8. Then a Polo 1.4 51 Plate
9. Then a Golf SDI (Slow...)
9.1 Then a Seat Leon TDI 56 Plate Stylance which I PX number 9 for....

11. Then a Mini Cooper S 2001 plate which I then PX'd for number 11

In July 2012, I wanted a change, which brings me onto number 12!! I was bored looking around Autotrader as I was a bit fed up and bored with the boringness of the Golf MK5 so I spotted an advert on Autotrader for a Red Leon FR on a 56 plate.

...I didnt really know what to expect but as it was around the corner I thought I would go have a look........I got there and they were washing the car...wish I bit wary about! So then I agreed to go for a test drive....I told the dealer the diesel was low but hes said it would be fine....5 minutes into the test drive the car broke down on a dual carriageway and someone helped the dealer push the car to a side road....and we waiting there for someone to come with fuel.....I found it odd and a bit off putting that the dealer would allow the car to be so low and let me take it out...but something still made me want the car oddly enough! I was impressed with how it looked and its nippyness (for the short drive)......so once we got back to the garage we went through figures and I ended up agreeing a deal and PX'ing my Golf TDI on the day...and drove the leon home.

First few weeks went on ok but then the dreaded light came (emissions light), i didnt know what it was and asked the dealer...who said to just drive it on the motorway at high revs for around 20 mins and it should be ok. The problem however got worse and I was a bit annoyed so I started looking at this forum and the GTI forum and found the problem to do with an awful thing called the DPF! After spending a few weeks regen'ing through vagcom and the car I gave up and decided to have my first mods (sort of)...DPF delete and stage 1 remap via R..Tech. Service was excellent and the car was a different machine, It was now giving around 205bhp.

So its had been a few months and I did some small mods such as number plate holders but was getting a bit bored of the looks of the car.....so I did research into doing a BTCC kit but it came out too expensive and I wasn't too keen on the rear bumper.....So i thought I would go down the route of side skirts, spoiler, splitter, lowered etc....

So this is where it all begins lol!

How it looked when I got it;

Today....while going into the garage to have the alignment check done for lowering springs, I reported a problem with a rubbing sound while in full lock....low and behold this is what they found:

Broken drop link on passenger side!! Eeek.....So they wanted £350 to replace along with front brake pads and discs which they said were knackered:

Drivers side discs....

Also a dodgy nut job (odd nut/bolt) on the same passenger arm (see pic above)....

So I agreed that i would get the parts and they would fit....so I paid £170 for genuine brakes and pads, and front drop links....and £40 for fitting....car is with them over night as I left it quite late
