they fit with a hex key????

Not sure how that works.... my neuspeed ones actually screwed onto the strut top directly.....

Probably with grub screws to hold them onto the strut top. Hex key to tighten the grubs.

Dude, if they use the grub screws onto the original plastic caps, DON'T buy them....

The plastic ones come loose very easily, and you can end up with a stripped "thread" on the plastic cap, meaning it'll just balance/wobble rather than stay in situ.

For it to use a grub-screw to hold onto the strut-top, I can't really see how it'd work. You'll notice that the central bolt is actually higher than the outer edge, so you'd be using a grub-screw onto a threaded bolt????

I could well be wrong here though....

Are they designed SPECIFICALLY for the car, or are they these generic jobbies?

indeed you do. Forge do some, as well as Neuspeed. Not sure of any others out there though. These ones are new to me.
