felt like it made a difference on my old 1.4... was a little less prone to understeer tho it was still there. Cant say for cupra as i fitted the strut brace as soon as i got it so no comparison.

My forge strutbrace made a fair bit of difference, but I only felt that when on the track. I doubt you'd feel any differnece on the road unless you drive like you'd stole the car.

My forge strut brace made a difference, its adjustable though and tightening it up a bit improved turn in and reduced understeer, the seat sport one isnt adjustable and is more for show!

There's nothing wrong with vainity! <-- Is that a word?

I've ordered a Seat strut brace from the steeler to go in the Cupra - Had one in the FR, and didn't realiseit fit's the petrol ones as well as diesel

It comes Thursday :)

MK Seat wanted £49.95 for it - Same price that the Seat site lists it for IIRC. They also tried telling me that it's dealer fit only @ an additional £25.

Dealer fit my :censored:. I'm taking the part and running! The one for the Diesel FR was a doddle to fit - 5 mins tops (In the diesel, you had to move some black box thing to make it go on - petrol one does not have this, so it's even easier!)

i had to trim the engine cover to get it to fit without fouling, i assume others have had to do the same? its a better mod than an arm rest.

Just to update you all, I poped into the dealer to collect the strut brace today. While it's fair that it is a tighter fit compared to the Diesel, I did not have to trim that flappy plastic bit off. It just clears the air box by 2mm, and the flappy bit is resting under it, but it does touch.

Pleased to say that there are no vibrations etc, so im happy. It looks nice, and you can feel the difference if you throw the car into a roundabout at speed!
