Strange symbol on dash led panel

Hi Guys

First time posting here.

I have a 2007 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport and she is due for her first 10k service and I have had the spanner symbol and the milage countdown appear on the led screen on the dash and thats fine, she is booked in for a service next week.

But just when I am starting the car a little clock symbol appears on the screen or least what looks like a clock (its round with little dashes inside it) and the number 50 is beside it, at first I thought it might be 50 days countdown to the next service but the number has stayed at 50 for about a week now.

I have went through my service manual and can't find any mention of it and have also Googled it for the last hour (how I came across this site) and again no mention of it.

Does anyone have any ideas??

Many Thanks

Rab

Don't think there is a cruise control light

maybe the clock symbol is actually the power steering warning light (a steering wheel) but no idea where the 50 comes into it

Hey Guys

Thanks for the replies so far. No not cruise control as the car doesnt have it, sadly.

Will give the delership a call on Tuesday (as its a public holiday tomorrow in N.Ireland) and see that they say, but I am sure it has something to do with the service but its driving me mad not knowing what the hell it is. The steering feels fine had it out this morning for a bit of a run in the country and it handled perfectly even in pretty wet conditions.

I have the exact same thing, first it shows a spanner and next to it is 3900-I presume this is the mileage to next servie?. Then it has the spanner, a little clock? and the no 18. I have no idea what it means. Any ideas would be good

Found out what the clock sign means mate a while ago, it basically means the 12 month period from your last annual service is nearly up and therefore the car needs a service, the milage is just telling you how many miles you have left before the car needs a service, so its either every 10k miles or every 12 months just so happens both events are close so the car shows the clock symbol and the remaining miles.

If you do crazy miles like 10k in two months it wont show the clock but will show the remaining miles, on the same hand if you only do 2k miles a year no milage will show but the clock will, just in your case and mine both events co-insided with each other so therefore both the clock and miles countdown.

Hope that helps:)

I miss my wee Ibiza and very sorry to see it go traded it in last Nov for a Mazda. Happy driving in yours.

Old thread resurrection, please forgive ;)

I've been searching for an answer to this for ages. My spanner pops up randomly with the round symbol, first time I noticed it there was a number 27 next to it, scoured the manual and the internet & didn't find an answer, about 400 miles later it popped up again with number 18, yesterday it's at 3. 12 month service is due in June, miles to service indicator is 5,400. No issues at all with the car. Could it be a filter? I really haven't a clue. Tried to get a picture but it doesn't show with any regularity and doesn't stay long enough for me to catch it.
