hi i have a 2001 cupra with revo stage 1 and have suddenly developed a problem with it.

The problem is when boosting hard up to 4k as you change gear the revs increase about 500 rpm. ive unpluged the maf but this didnt help.

the problem isnt so bad when usung the traction control but when its on it is much worse(not sure if less boost is used when its on)

any help would be brilliant thanks guys

ive had this a couple of times, when it happend to me the revs just seemed slow to drop and it was like they were holding, very strange. if anyone could cast any thoughts these 2 problems sound related

Worth checking the switch on the arm of your clutch pedal. (search for 'clutch switch') It should look like this (the white switch), ignore the dimensions.

if you pull out your fuse box cover at the bottom of the steering wheel on the left where the clutch pedal pivots you will see the white switch. if you unplug the wire you can screw it in and out for adjustment. if you get stuck i will take a picture for you mate

If its in place (its comman for the thread to strip and for the switch to pop out), then the switch itself needs replacing. If it has popped out then it just needs putting back.
