Strange humming sound....

Strange humming sound coming from the back of my car? I don't think its the exhaust as its not blowing! Its like a constant thing.....really loud at about 50 - 80 mph

I have been told it might be the wheel bearings. Is that what it is? If so how easy / expensive is it to fix?

that depends, they may just need `nipping up`

2 min job if thats the case

if not leave yourslelf a couple of hours to change em (im presuming your gonna do both rears)

depending on how mechanically minded you are mate depends on how long it will take you. but as said best bet would be to set aside like a sunday for it r something like that and they generally arent that expensive i dont think never priced one upo for an ibiza though.

have you checked your wheels are tightly attached? Mine made this kind of sound when one of my wheels worked itself loose.
