Got in the Leon this morning and noticed that the headlight dash light was on

Thought maybe I'd left my lights on overnight but the lights were off. The warning light is lit but its fairly dim. when i turn the headlights on the light goes back to its usual brightness

I've tried turn the lights on and off a few times but the pesky light stays on.

I've got HID's and LED sidelights, could this be anything to do with it? They've been fitted for nearly 18 months and haven't had a problem till now.

Could it be a bad earth somewhere?

sorry for poor phone pic

Don't suppose the switch for the headlights could have been pulled out putting the front fogs on, just something to check maybe.

no mate. really strange, the warning lights just staying on constantly. the headlights are functioning perfectly.

My only thought is its a bad earth somewhere, probably caused by the cold weather and damp.

Haven't got a clue where to start looking though.

how do you get the switches out lee? have you ever removed one? I cant see an obvious way of getting it out without prizing it out

If i can get it out I can test it with a multimeter.

Earth problems are a proper pita!

I'll try the switch first and work back to the fuse board. fingers crossed.
