Strange DSG problem

Picked up my Altea Sport TDI DSG today (2005 model) and was doing the 60 mile drive back from the dealer when I tried to accelerate and the car would not.
I was in 'D' and put my foot down and saw the gear display change down to 5th and the revs go up but the car would not accelerate.
I then had to stop the car, put it in park, switch off the engine to make it work properley again. It then did it again after about 15 mins.
No warning lights on dashboard, cruise control was off all the time (I even switched ESP off to make sure) and again had to stop car, engine off, engine back on to make it work again. Any ideas before I call dealer?

Thanks

Rob

Well if the revs are changing but no acceleration then it does sound like the clutch is slipping. Have you had a Vag Com hook to see if any fault codes come up?
Could be oil level in the gearbox?

I don't have VAG-COM although I do have a cable. Will the free version read fault codes?

yeh but it will only give you the 'P' code which you will have to google. Full version gives you a full translation and access to every aspect of the program.
