Stop/Start issue.

For six months of the seven I've owned my 310 VZ2 when starting the engine I have always turned off the annoying stop/start system but for the last ten days or so I've had no need to as it doesn't seem to be working? Puzzled to why it's done this but as a possible fault it's definitely welcomed,
I have wondered if it's anything to do with having the aircon on and set to 16 degrees as it's so hot, turned it off briefly but it still didn't stop the engine at junctions.

Stop start needs a lot of battery power so Aircon on will drain it

There are certain conditions that need to be met before stop start will activate. The stop start control lamp in the instrumentation display will also have a strikethrough line through it if stop start isn’t available. Screen shots below are from the June 2021 edition of the owner’s manual;
