Stoneacre - Doncaster

Called in over a month ago to have the car asessed for some body warranty work to be carried out.

Photos were taken, information was photocopied and sent on my merry way having being told i was likely to hear back from them in a couple of weeks.

Time went on and i thought nothing of it, the show season getting ever closer and i'd like this sorted sooner rather than later as it's a bit of an eye sore.

Getting fed up of waiting i called them to ask what was taking so long, low and behold the computers were down. The friendly chap at the end of the phone assured me i would be called back today.

Side note, why is it 9 times out 10 you ring somewhere chasing information and their computers are down. Yet i manage to keep a factory of mission critical hardware/software running with very little or any fault at all for the 13 hours a day i'm there?!

Anyway, it's 23:51 and i'm still waiting for their call. Infact when i phone to complain about the lack of a phone call tomorrow i'll mention the number of hours i sat eagerly awaiting their call

All jokes aside this is a bit of a joke is it not?

Hi Tim, my only advice is... Don't use them, they are the worse dealer i have EVER known!

I Can't even be bothered to start typing out all my problems with them as we would be sat here all night. So yeah try another yorkshire dealer, heard good things about Ted Johnson's in Barnsley?

No probs They prefer damaging your car rather than repairing it, like trying to polish my alloys taking all the paint off, and cracking my rear bumper oh and scuffing all of my dash... oooh and pressing on my sat nav screen causing lots of dead pixels... and this is when it was brand new !

I usually travel down wheatley hall road 4 times a week at around 7:30 upon leaving work!

The New Ibiza is on show for the first time this Easter Weekend.
The sales team is fully staffed but the sftersales only has a skeleton staff until after Easter.

mini rant : that annoys me when companies are happy to staff up there sales teams but parts and aftersales run on a skeleton staff during bank holidays etc, kinda says we're happy to take your money today but if youve got any problems we'll help you out another time!

Morning and response to your mini-rant

We have in previous years and as per industry norm closed the aftersales department for the full friday to tuesday easter weekend, this year we have changed it to split the team ie 2 techs working 2 techs off, 1 parts staff on and one off, 1 service front counter on one off for the whole Easter weekend apart from Easter Sunday which legally we have to close Sales and Aftersales, this change in staffing was to hopefully still be able to look after our aftersales customers in the event of a problem etc. I think your comments were a tad unfair!!!!

I have always got on well with Autoworld in sheffield where I bought my car from, tried Stoneacre in Donny and found them to be less than impressive, so I thought why not stick with the place I know, they have been spot on from day one, it is a bit of a drive but then again that's what cars are for

i take it from that stoneacre is as bad as charlesworths ever was then dad had the same sort problems with them years ago wher they just diddnt tell us anything after the insurance company approved the work. They also gave me a bit of a runaround trying to get a touchup stick even though i had a chasis number and there was an identical car out front (i walked there as it was a nice day) in the end i had to walk home again grrrrrrrr

its also worth trying rustys in scunthorpe (may be closer depends on what side of donny u live) i got my car from there (dont think much of the car but have no probs with the dealer)

Its a shame stoneacre are that bad as again they are about 2 mins from here as well.

Anyway to keep it on topic, Stone"aches" does seem to be, well not very good.

Autoworld in Sheffield have always done the work I have asked them to do, minus one small problem, which it had already gone into Autoworld Chesterfield for, and they did bugger all!

Having said that, my car whent in for a wheel bearing into Ted Johnson yesturday and I had it back within two hours, which gave me just enough time for a nice walk (due to weather being very nice indeed!) to get some food
