Hi guys. Thought i just ask this before i go to Eindhoven and watch boro win the uefa cup:lol: . I have had my ovni fr tdi a year now and do mostly motorwar driving and i have a few stone chips which have gone down to the silver primer. My question is would these be able to be sorted out under warranty or is it just part of owning a car?

Thanks

Come on BORO!!!

Stone chips are not covered under warranty...but...if you think the paint is at fault i.e too soft and has an abnormally high number of chips compared to normal then you could investigate the matter with your dealer and SEAT UK.

I had the same problem on my Black Seat that within 3-4 months it had devloped a high volume of stone chips and easily scratched, my argument and still is I reckon the paint is too soft.. see this thread if you want to try and sort it via warranty.

I had the bonnet on my old imperial blue leon resprayed under warranty, they agreed that after only 6 months use the amount of chips was excessive. Might just have been the dealer deciding that though as no one from SEAT themselves inspected it.
