I`m still getting water in the drivers side rear footwell on my wifes `02 Toledo TDI . The door seals have been done , I checked & replaced the pollen filter 2 weeks ago & it seemed dry under there . Is there anywhere else to check , it`s only in the rear footwell & seems to be close to the bulkhead

Someone else here had a similar problem with water coming into the footwells, is seems to build up between the door seals during heavy rain, it happens on mine but has never overflowed into the car.. yet.

The other person solved it by cutting a small notch in the rubber on the underside of the door to allow the water to drain out during heavy rain.

I'm going to look into doing it to mine next time it gets a wash.

EDIT: Found the other post: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=187591

I have same problem but into the drivers footwell, after a night of rain when I open the door it pours out from between the door and the sill and living in scotland it rains an awful lot might give this a try. Also is it the seal on the door sill or the seal on the bottom of the door that is done?
cheers

Slots in seals

I put slots in both just to be sure and it cured my problem, my Tolly always shipped water in the drivers rear, but after the slots were cut, it dried out and has been dry ever since. I went the resealing the metal door card route and was as careful as anyone could be, but that didn,t work. So I cut the slots (look at where the water builds up and it is just logical) and the car has been dry for 2 yrs solid even with the "big rains" we,ve been having.
