Stiff Gear Dissengage's

Im new to owning my car ive only had it a few months and apart from a few niggles ive been enjoying it alot. I have one problem that has just started happening which i have no idea what it could be and im hoping its not anything serious.

All gears engage fine but occasionally, (50% of the time) they need to be forcefully moved out of 1st, 3rd and 5th. The clutch is to the floor and its regardless of if the engine is running or not. My mate suggested it could be linkage catching or syncromesh but surely if it were the latter it would just mean they would pop out of gear easier?

Your thoughts would be appretiated before i pay someone to have a look at this as its getting to be a worry.

Standard filter? Secondary air pump pipes fouling on the selector?

Sounds like you could be on the money craig ive just installed a dynatwist last weekend, could have dislodged something.

Ok Ill check it out on saturday. Is it a common problem? I did a search and found nothing similar.

I'll put my money on the secondary airpump line (with breather filter) fouling on the selector. Just go look and move stuff about.
