Just bought myself a Leon Cupra 290, but I just feel like something is off with the pedals. I'll preface this with the fact that I've never driven a "sporty" car before, so maybe there is an element of getting used to things. Also it's a 66 reg but only 24k miles and it' been sat around a lot for the last 6 months. But anyway, heres what I'm finding:
The clutch and brake pedals both seem a bit stiff on the release. For both, I find it hard to be precise about where I move the pedal to. There seems to be some lag between me lifting my foot and the pedal following. For the clutch I've read that theres a clutch delay valve fitted as standard and people report having this removed to have helped. Has anyone here had the same issue and found that taking the valve out helps?
I assume there is no valve for the brake though, but there is a lag that I've never experienced in any other car.
I hope I can get to the bottom of it soon (or just get used to it, if thats all it is...), as its spoiling the driving experience of an otherwise very enjoyable car!
