Sticking starter motor?

ggrrr... started her up earlier today and moved about 3 ft forward went to go start her earlier and she started for all of 1 second then cut out and wouldnt start again.
the starter moter had got stuck and wasnt engaging.
after some bumping about in gear though she stoped sulking and started again no problems. anyone else ever had this..?
its not the begining of the starter motor going is it...or was she just sulking because of her 3 ft drive.

I had the same problem with my first cat (mk3 fiesta) never happened again though.

the differance being obvious yes. but i wasnt aware of that. anyway hasnt done it since so hopefully wont do it again.
