anyone have any ideas how to sort this problem

sounds like its not returning properly,i'd get it off and give it a proper greasing mate.where the hand brake attaches it pivots inside the caliper, might be able to get some wd40 in there but you really need grease.

think thats a job for tomorrow then. so i just got to take the caliper off and greese up where the hand break cable is? just put my hand throught the wheel and seems as if the cable isnt returning. pushed on it and it moved about 2mm

thanks

where the cable attaches is an arm. this is bolted to the side of the caliper and pivots back and forth as you apply/release the hand brake, crap gets under this and causes it to stick(did on my old ones anyway)this is where i'd suggest looking first ;)

Is the caliper locked on?

Its more than likely the pads have got stuck on the carrier rather than a fault with the caliper itself. Unbolt the caliper and check the pads. Advise new pads and the metal contact shims. Make sure the carrier is really clean before rebuilding.
