what is the best way to remove the cupra stickers on the front wings? one is in ok condition the other is scabby. im worried that it will pull the laquer off when i try to remove them? any tips or expirence taking them off?
cheers
Heat with a hair dryer or heat gun, A hot pressure hose will also do the trick if you have access to one, and peel gently from a corner using a credit card to lift it up.
Remove any excess glue with tar remover, then a T-cut and polish.
No it shouldnt, theyre just vinyl stickers and providing there's no previous signs of damage to the paint work in the area they should be alright.
just get them as hot as you can as the more the glue softens, the less force you will have to tug at them with and the less chance you have of damaging the paint/laquer
boiling hot water sometimes works too (watch your fingers!) - wish I'd bothered thinking when I took mine off - I pulled some lacquer off the wings by doing it cold. Also because they'd been on the car since new, the paint underneath was brighter (the rest had faded, that's Kiwi for you!). I managed to get a set made up that were same size so it's not a problem, unless you leave the wing bare.
