stereo removal

im i missing something, cos ive got the stereo removal tool and its locked in place underneith the search button but doesnt seem to want to know unter the "1" button. should it just pull out?

ive just taken out the tray under it and still no joy, is it locked in some how??

Little slots at the bottom corners of the face

you need a key thing really but you can make a sort of hook out of a strip of old credit card

all you do is stick the plastic strip in and hook the little springs inwards and then pull the cd player out

i used two pefectly wide enogh cable tires slid them down the slot and it releasedit 1st time easy!

have you tryed to see if the slot is blocked with something????

Cable ties is what I used too... took about 5 Seconds, but then I am from Liverpool

They can be fiddly... just persever mate

DONE IT the next problem was fitting the new stereo in, that was a pain, then i also had to get an adapter for the aerial. pain but its nearly done. just need to get a stronger radio signal now.

Its easier to put a new one in than take the old one out.
