Stereo in a New MK4

Hi,

I've used search but could find an answer, the question is this - what size is the stereo in the new MK4 (07) Ibiza FR's, i've used SEAT.co.uk and it shows a larger than standard unit - BUT the 06 i looked at had a standard size unit with a wee shelf below it. Can anyone clarify this?

mines an 07spec fr, and its a standard single din size

The HU is a single din size HU although maybe if you can spec sat nav it'll be double din. The HU space is really double din but you get a pocket that takes up the bottom half giving you a standard size slot above it. Quite handy if you decide you want a screen in the dash

yep standard size hu but take the cubby hole out and youl get a double din hole

Sat nav no longer an option on Ibiza's due to a very very low uptake. who can blame people too, £1500 on what is basically a blaupunkt travelpilot dx, or £200 on a colour touch screen tom tom

So on the FR on the 360 view on SEAT.co.uk is the SATNAV unit? you can't zoon in but looks like one.......sort of.

I don't think the exterior one needs it installed for whatever reason, but i'm sure the interior one needs shoddy quicktime to work.
