you'll prob all think i'm wierd, but i'v just got a 1.6 S leon, and i cant stand tapes. Iv got an auto changer, but its too big too fit in the glove box compartment, and i dnt really want to change the head unit cause i can't stand those plastic spacers that u need too fill the gaps at the side.

Any way i was thinking of buying a second head unit with CD/mpg capability and fitting it in the glove box instead of an autochanger (this is where it gets tricky). I want to use the standard headunit to control the second 1 as it would be a ball ache reachin accross the car to skip tracks etc. 98% of you are prob thinkin :wtf: by now, but if the other 2% could tell me if im dreaming or not it would be appreciated.

Thanks

You are indeed dreaming mate. You'll never be able to wire up a second head unit to be controlled by the standard one, it's just not possible.

You're options are...

Stick with CD changer in the glove box
Change head unit for better aftermarket one
Change head unit for standard CD player
Buy adaptor to use MP3 player on the standard head unit

Plenty of info on the forum about each option, so get searching :)

Check accessories for sale section and ebay for the Aura HU and the CD changer that goes with it. That should sort you out! :)

that bit on the inside of your glove box is a fascia. you can take it out! cd changer will fit now.

lots of the leons came with changers located there. the s versions didn't have a changer so they put in that fascia to reclaim some of the glove box space.
