Wanting to fit an amp and components I've got lying around at home.

Does anybody know wether the following rca adaptor lead off ebay is compatible with a standard cupra headunit, am assuming it would go in green connector on rear of headunit as yellow one is for the cd changer. Does anybody know if there are pins under the green one or wether it is just a blanking plug.

Don't want to take the headunit out if I can help it to find out.

Ah well was a thought.

Going to use the front speaker connections if poss as want to keep original rear speakers as well, does it make a difference to the sound quality the further away from the headunit the alpine unit is fitted.

What wires does the alpine need for remote on function (switched ignition feed etc), or does it do it automatically when it recieves a speaker signal.

just feed the alpine units switched live and earth and they'll be fine! i'd mount them reasonably close to the deck for ease of fitment but wont make a difference where they are in the wiring, i used cheapy autoleads ones with mine as i was skint at the time and they sound fine apart from a slight hiss at low volume, i used the rear output as the input to feed the amplification for my subwoofer, that way i can use the fader to add more or less bass

they needed earthing to the chassis of my stereo though otherwise they histed like you wouldnt believe!
