Stereo and Mapping Question

Hi I have just purchased a 2006 Ibiza 1.9 TDI FR, I have the 3G Iphone and wondered if anyone know which may be the best solution to get it connected to the stereo, my initial thoughts are the parrot Mki 9200 / RK8200, is it better to change the head unit altogther? I don't want to lose the steering wheel controls, is there a cheaper method?

Also I have found lots of companies offering a re-map of the ECU taking the car from 130 up to 160 - 175 BHP is this a bad idea? Anyone had it done? I am not talking a chip kit a proper flash of the ECU chip.

Cheers Jason

To be honest I dont know if you can do this with your phone. but in my car I have an aux port, I plug a cable into that and then into my phone. ut my phone in the handbrake well and use that as hands free. That way it comes out of my speakers and I can talk on the phone.

Cheap suggestion really :)

Thanks for the replies, I purchased a Alpine 103BT and the remote leads for stalks and IPhone lead. So fully hands free and sorted! £230..... Still need help with re-map decision. Cheers Jason

If your looking for a stage one remap, then P-torque is probably your cheapest.
Where are you located. Could save you some cash as theres a trusted tuner in Bristol I know of
