Steering spline size?

Hi
Does any one know if the ibizas steering column is the same as a mk2 golf ?
The reason is I'm stripping my mk2 gti 16v golf track hack and she has a nearly new suede steering wheel and boss kit and I was wondering if I could swap it over after turning the airbag off via Vagcom
Also I have a pair of bucket seats and harnesses mounted onto a modified set of runners for the golf could these fit too?

how old was mk2
if its 89 onwards should be same size spline
not sure about seat fitment but if they are sliders in floor then yes

It was a '89 with big bumpers so it might fit

im positive the seats will fit, but im unsure on the steering wheel, try it and see?

I've been looking into this, according to demon tweeks the boss used for aftermarket wheels is the exact same part for mk1 golf, mk2 golf, mk3 Ibiza and most 80's vag motors.

Hope that clears up the wheel issue
