Steering RACK Question !! URGENT

As you all know by my posts im doin a seat ibiza to a g40 conversion naw the only problem is i had power sterring on my car before and naw i havent cause the g40 engine dosent run a powersteering pump.!!

So i have 2 option

1. buy a electronic pump and run it off the battery £150

2. buy a manual rack saay £100 second hand

Naw what i need to know is what rack would fit on my car ive tried the one off the mk4 pol but its like 3 inches to short??

what bout a mk2 golf one??? any ideas fella's?? any adivce is helpfull

mk2 golf bolts straight on.

mine was £10 brand new on ebay, but you can pick them up for about £50 from gsf etc

you'll need new tie rods as they're different & a new steering gaiter

a new one.... but it makes no odds where from. £57.50+vat from gsf is a good start though. - for a new one, not refurb/exchange

Buy some new steering rack mounts (I bought poly bushes)

just like that.

studs remain in the subframe.

best bet is to do it when the subframe is on the floor. I did it after it was on the car, as my plans changed.... it was a lot more work

just bought a rack naw and the steering colum is different to the golf gti rack when the colum slips in the rack there are more pins if you get wot i mean
