I've replaced the down pipe on my LCR, which obviously involved dropping the subframe, disconnecting the steering rack, etc etc. However as soon as it was all back together and I started it for the first time, the ESP light was on the dash, and I have the fault: 00778:005 when I scan it. There was a malfunction fault as well which was 00778:003, but I cleared that and it hasn't come back since.
I have checked live data and I'm getting a reading from the sensor, so I assume it's working? It's also reading 0° when the steering wheel is straight. But my scanner is unable to do an electronic calibration on Seat's and I don't have VAGcom or anything like that, so I tried following the instructions on Ross-Tech and that hasn't worked either. Would it just be a case of replacing the sensor/clock spring? Or what else could I try? TIA
