Stearing Rack Problems

Has anyone had to replace the stearing rack on there LCR.

Been trying to find a aftermarket part but no one seems to have one, not too keen on paying the £600 Seat price and then a nice wedge of cash for labour.

Any help would be very much apreciated.

There are plenty of CupraRs getting written-off every week though, surely you don't need to buy new ??

Yea, been looking today for a scraped one. Got a 4motion Golf rack comeing tommorow as it looks preety simaler. If that does'nt work then ive found an exchange and refurb one for £140.

I think an S3 rack might be the same from what others have hinted at on here with regard to suspension/front end parts

If anyones intrested the golf v6 4motion is the same rack, had it fitted for £300 including labour.

Had her out today and she drives better than ever.

Sorry lol, I had powerstearing fluid p**sing out faster than i could put it in, I was hopeing that the seals could just of been changed but apperantly they couldnt.

Feels alot more responsive now, back out having fun after my nice string of problems.
