Starting problem

Hi all

A little help needed, has anyone else had starting problems, I turn the key and nothing, hold it there for 10-15 seconds and then she turns over often after the 3rd or 4th attempt.

It's doing my head in, any help would be appreciated.

Yeh, I got that, have you checked all the fuses on the fusebox above the battery?

i haven't replaced any fuses,do you think that could be the problem?

Not sure really, I had a similar problem on my MK4 polo 1.9D, and it turned out just to be a fuse, you will be able to see if any of them are blown.
