Heared that this is a common problem and it has happened to me car started fine drove to work got out then saw better space to park in and nothing, 4000 mile on the clock and it happens had to bump start it to get home. should be fixed tomorrow but ive got a new toledo at the moment its like a tank. anyone else had this problem and has it ever come back again?

Err? It helps if you're a bit more specific i.e. what the problem is with the starter cable?

If you mean that it's snapped then yes it's happened to a few people, myself included, but if it's something else... I'm sure I heard that you shouldn't bump start a car with a cat somewhere, but not sure if that's true though.

yea it snapped or came loose dint have a choice wasnt waiting 2 hours for aa to come out only done it the once to get home. do you know what causes it to snap or come lose cos its a stupid thing to happen. i think they willl have to see this and change the design of it on new cars
