Standard boost in bar? psi?

hi guys, have used the search but didnt find what i was looking for, i just wondered what a completely standard 156bhp 1.8t cupra engine turbo runs at in bar or psi? im fitting my boost gauge and just wanted to know wat reading i should expect to know if the gauge is playing up or not, cheers

14.5 psi = 1 bar, so about 1/2 bar of boost as standard.

I think its nearer 5/6 PSI tbh, not alot of difference but all the same. A standard Ibiza Cupra with the K03s upgrade will hit around 7/8PSI... (or did in my case).

Just looking at this post and wondering

I fitted a boost gauge to mine and changed all the vacuum pipes and i am assuming mines is a standard cupra unless the previous owner added an S under Ibiza on the boot.

But mines boosts between 8 and 9 as far as im aware theres not been any parts changed?

Could be that you have a cupra R ECU bud.

It seems pretty quick mind you. It definately boosts between 8 and 9. I thought it was a bit high for a standard cupra when i had installed the boost gauge.

Nice surprise if it is though, the car was written off but the guy i bought it from works in a coach works and it only had panel and bumper damage so he repaired it you couldn't tell its even had a scratch

I got it but it means a full scale operation wheeling pc outside no Laptop

The extra torque of a stg1 will give you a nice kick in the butt
