squeeky seats

I have searched, but found only rear seat answers.

Have sprayed the components with wd40 and still when i have a passenger in the car, the passenger seat squeeks or rather creaks like hell!!!!!

any ideas or similar problems?

if its creaking could be metal damage, like a weak joint or cracking metal work i think but dont quote me on it.

I got same problem on my Ibiza Cupra R, Drivers seat is the main culprit, sqeaks like mad when u change gear!

Ive just got a Torx set that I ordered & am gonna have a go at tightening the seat up 2 see if that helps, Ill let you know how I get on!

Having said that tho mate, I did post a similar question to this in the Mk 3 ibiza section. Seems a very common problem on Seats & seems few have suceeded in sorting out the noise.

Just warning you that it might be something that we all have to live with!

Talking of rattles, my Leon suffers like most, and ive always had this annoying rattle, definitly not a metal rattle but i tinney pinking noise ( if you know what i mean). Well ive only gone and bloody found out what it is.........


It was the Alarm Sensor casing, but in particular the Interior Light Glass plastic that was loose. Secured it, and guess what, no more rattles. Now for the other 10 chuffing rattles !

I get a slight tinny rattling noise when im doing really low revs in 3rd,4th & 5th (bout 1.5rpm)

Never been able to work out what it is, maybe its the alarm sensor casing for me too?

I need to check this out.

Was yours rattling like that too then?

yep, its the plastic glass that vibrates.

mines doing the same on the driver side, every movement i make my seat creeks, it sound like the springs, the passanger seat doesnt do it , dont think anything is loose regarding the fittings to the floor, its always done it, just thought i had to live with it but if someones got answers for this then get them on here ...............
