Front offside wheel, a sound has developed that sounds like metal rubbing on metal and gets quieter if I turn the wheel while driving or when I brake/ease off the throttle. Seems to disappear after 40mph.

Any thoughts on this please?

I'd say the first place to check would be the brake pads, check both sides of the caliper as you could have uneven wear, if they are worn, the noise could be the metal part of the pad coming into contact with the disc.

Also check for any crap / stones in the calipers that could be rubbing on the disc :D
