Hi guys my clutch pedal has got really squeaky on my car. Was thinking of putting some WD40 on the mechanism do you think this will do any good? Is there anything on the clutch pedal mechanism that wd40 will harm?

Thanks in advance

2 options here lads, its either the spring thats sqeeking (obvious one!) so get some spray on white grease or the white clip that goes inside the welded rectangle that is on the side of the clutch pedal that clips into and operates the clutch master cylinder rod, i think where peoples clutch pedals have broken the white clip reinstalled without grease, quick spray inside it from behind whilst it was still fitted solved it for me, actually made the pedal lighter to press too!

Mine used to do it and i ust sprayed the rod that goes into the big rubber thing (yeah i know laods about cars) with WD40 and it went after pushing the clutch a few times whilst spraying.
