I have recently found a problem with my clutch, it does not seem to be the cable itself, but the pedal mechanism that is creaking and making a clicking noise just before the clutch pedal reaches its full release.

has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what it might be?
the car is a 1999 iniza 1.4 s
thanks

had all the wiper mechanism out and the leaf tray, just moved the cable a little bit and it stopped doing it, the pedal itself wasnt the noise, or the pedal box, or cable, just altered where the plug was positioned as it passed from the engine bay to the footwell, job done.
