Squeak from engine with air con on?

Happens at low revs and only with the air con on.

It sounds like a belt slipping.

Anyone know what it might be?

Tensioner on its way out? Excess load on the belt with AC on.

I get exactly the same thing but can't work out where it's coming from.

had this on my last LCR, had the car for 2years without any problem.I never did get to the bottom of the squeak so i would be interested to find out.

Had this on my LC when I first got it, sent it back to SEAT twice. First time they changed the alternator, no difference, turned out it was the AC compressor. Replaced under warranty thank god. I really hope for your sake its not that.

If I were you, I'd check the nut on the end of the AC compressor that holds the clutch on.
Mine was squeaking on and off for a while and nobody thought anything of it until the clutch flew off the compressor and I was left with no aircon. If you lose the clutch plate a new AC clutch is about £300 + fitting!
