Sport suspension (factory option) (?)

Hi guys,

At least here in Finland, there is a 200 eur (175 gbp) factory option, code WOS, sportier suspension, which one can pick for non-FR/cupra -models.

If I tick that box on the order form, what will I get? I asked two local stealers but the answers I got were pretty vague. Their answers combined was pretty much "the ride will be firmer but the car is not going to be lowered".

So what do I actually get by ticking the box on the order form, real technical details about the option, anyone?

Well it's propably the same spring kit they advertise here. It says that they lower the car (except the 2.0 FSI version). However, I'd advice against choosing them as the suspension is good enough as standard already (for non-FR/Cupra).

i have these on my leon, and i must admit, the ride is quite pleasing, bumps are absorbed pretty well by them and not by your spine..

but i'm looking on getting rid and getting some springs that actually lower my car to a decent level as i find these are not low enough on 18s...

It could be that, though I think that the BTO price seems quite low for that kit (?). (In my country, car prices are skyrocket high due to heavy taxing) Also, the site says that they are for 1.6 petrol (with lowering), or 2.0 FSI or TDI. It doesn't specify 1.9 TDI -- probably they work with 1.9 TDI anyway but why would have them excluded it from the list?

Actually, I already have my Ecomotive (proud owner for a week now) and it does have the suspension option, but I'm wondering what it actually means that it has that option. I could try to peek under the car if I'd be able to see wheter those sport springs are there. Regular springs are probably not red, right? :)

I'm thinking about installing H&R springs for the looks + I prefer the sportier ride. That's the other reason why I'd like to find out, what excatly does that BTO-option include -- if I have those springs, I can resale them after fitting the H&R:s, but if I got something else (only some adjustments maybe?) obviously that is not the case -- and I'd like to know exactly what I optet for when ordering my ride back in Nov :)

I'm not going for the whole coilover set, and I think the default shocks will do the trick for me, since my Ecomotive is not ment for aggressive driving at the first place, but to be a reasonable solution of traveling with my family -- which still looks great and handles like a proper car ;)
