split-r dv and 6 cd changer Qs

hi all, ive just got a split-r for my car but i was wondering if anyone knew what the implications of over or under tightening of the screw top part were?? and does it make a difference to the sound? mine sounds good i think..

also i thought cupras had 6 cd changers as standard??? mine didnt have one, there is 2 wires which run to the boot, one blue and one silver if i remember right, are these used to power the changer? or has woofers been in there at some stage, im guessing the changer is normally in the boot? or is it hidden elsewhere and i havent found it yet lol

cheers

Cd changers are in the boot. It may have been an option as I'm not sure but if the wires are there then it sounds like its been taken out.

Have you read the instructions? Theyre a bit vague to say the least, turn fully anticlockwise then 1-2 turns clockwise or until it stops buzzing. Bit if you rev it it buzzes again.

I had no idea what i was doing when i fitted it to my mates LCR, i just kept revving, hearing the buzz, tuning, repeat until it stopped buzzing completely.

yeah i've done that and its not buzzing, but i gave it another two clicks for luck just to be sure when revving hard if you know what i mean... i was just curious as to if over turning it would do any damage??

if you turn it too much it should just recirc only according to Bill (Badger5)
not enough and it may open prematurely therefore not operating correctly

or it could be the other way round
