you noticed a difference since fitting it.... gonna go down the silicone route, afaik its 19mm silicone hosing and a tpiece to match, looks straight forward enough?

I'd only had the car 2 days before I noticed it and I had it replaced at the same time as a full service and filter upgrade so I can't really say if it made a difference or not.

As far as I can see it looks fairly straight forward to do from looking at the other thread.

One of the bottom ones split on mine. You'll notice a big difference in throttle response when its fixed. If its been like that for a while, your cam cover and intake manifold willl be very dirty.

cam cover not filthy, well ive just cleaned it...

theres alot of gunk inside the hose.

was it the same hose that split on yours.

No, it was the right hand breather hose on the underside of the intake manifold, yours is the one on the top right. It would have the same effect on performance though.

That stuff in the link is fine tho its rated to 6.5bar of pressure :)

I'd rather have a brass T piece, make sure you keep an eye on the plastic one.

I also usually buy my T pieces a mm or 2 bigger than the ID of the pipe :)

sorted the hose yesterday

for future info

i purchased 19mm red silicone piping from the bay

£14 for 1 metre, thats plenty

18-22mm jubilee clips £55p each

19mm t-piece from the bay £2

followed guide in the link above, easy as...

now car pulls better, job done

£55 ofr oem part made of chocolate, £20 quid replacement into silicon

great mod and would recommend users to do this, as the oem hose will break at some point.

cheers

i would, it looks exactly the same as the link on the first post..... exept the hoses are red, and the tpiece blue

bit of a faff getting enough purchase on the lower hose connection, but everthing else ease, and took 20 mins

all i did seperate, was use jubilee clips to connect all hoses to tpiece to make sure they stayed on.

but for 20quid its a real worthwile mod, and makes the bay look prettier
