Was wondering if you lot could help me out here, should've done something bout this along time ago but I completly forgot.

Ages ago when I was putting oil in the beezer I noticed one of my hoses has quite a large split in it,don't really notice anything different when driving at all,but thought probs best if I get it changed when/if I can.Just wondered what the hose is for?

Looks like the oil breather tube? Not the end of the world, but you wouldn't want much water to be getting in that split!

A split in the breather pipe will probably affect your fuel consumption as it is dragging in fresh air into the combustion process after the air mass meter and hence messing up the readings. When I had a split on my 8v I lost about 4mpg and got it straight back as soon as it was fixed. They are about £20 from memory from a stealer.
